Tools
Tools are how an agent acts in Mod: read_document, patch_document, create_task, comment, set_view and the rest. Mod serves the same set to every harness.
Mod decides
- One tool set, whichever agent and model you use. Claude Code gets it over MCP, Codex natively.
- A tool that changes a document writes to the log, so the change is seen, attributed and can be undone.
- A connector's credentials are never in a document, a release or the log. connectors soon
